County parks and gardens are open with some restrictions. Social distance guidelines must be followed – park visitors should keep at least 6 feet of distance between themselves and others, and no gatherings or activities with more than 25 people may occur. Park and garden visitors are requested to wear a face covering at any of the county’s outdoor facilities when they are within 6 feet of others, except when strenuously exercising.
Airlie Gardens – OPEN daily 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. All admission tickets must be pre-purchased online – no tickets will be sold onsite. Visit AirlieGardens.org for more details and to purchase tickets.
Arboretum – OPEN daily 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The NC State Extension offices and ALL restrooms remain CLOSED at this time. Visit Arboretum.NHCgov.com for more details.
Fields are OPEN for general recreation use, but all activity must comply with mass gathering restrictions of 25 people maximum outdoors.
