UPDATE 9/5/20: County playgrounds, outdoor gyms and Long Leaf Park splashpad are OPEN.
County parks and gardens are open with few restrictions (see list below). Social distance guidelines must be followed – park visitors should keep at least 6 feet of distance between themselves and others, and no gatherings or activities with more than 50 people may occur. Park and garden visitors, ages 5 and up, are REQUIRED to wear a face covering at any of the county’s outdoor facilities when they are within 6 feet of others, except when strenuously exercising.
Airlie Gardens – OPEN daily 9 a.m.-5 p.m. All admission tickets must be pre-purchased online – no tickets will be sold onsite. Visit AirlieGardens.org for more details and to purchase tickets.
Arboretum – OPEN daily 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Visit Arboretum.NHCgov.com for more details.
Fields are OPEN, but all activity must comply with mass gathering restrictions of 50 people maximum outdoors.
Shelters are OPEN, but the maximum capacity for any gathering is 50 people.
