One of New Hanover County’s most popular parks is getting some upgrades!  In fiscal year 2021-22, Parks & Gardens will refurbish the four existing tennis courts at Long Leaf Park, as well as add an all new adult play area which will include a new basketball court and fitness obstacle course.

Tennis court refurbishment will include patching cracks and resurfacing the courts will multiple layers of paint.  The existing incandescent lights will be replaced with new LED lighting.

The existing basketball court, located next to the ballfields, will be converted to a kid’s basketball court.  A new basketball court for adults will be built in the open area next to picnic shelter #6.  The new adult area will also include a fitness obstacle course similar to that of “American Ninja Warrior.”
